MACsec stands for Media Access Control Security and is a standard to secure point-to-point network communication on the data data link layer (Layer 2) of the OSI 7 layer model. MACsec was introduced with the IEEE 802.1AE standard.

MACsec Key Agreement (MKA) and Extensible Authentication Protocol–Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS) are essential for the use of Ethernet-based MACsec data connection security.

Our services

  • Development of MACsec concepts based on MKA/EAP-TLS and pre-shared keys
  • Implementation of MACsec concept into target platforms
  • Setup MACsec-based PoC by supporting MKA and EAP to avoid pre-shared keys
    • Create a MACsec/EAP concept for each node
    • Create a MACsec/EAP concept to connect different Ethernet nodes securely
    • Implement MKA and EAP based MACsec concept
    • Setup PKI certificate infrastructure
